GeneralThe 2009 season for the Tippecanoe Disc Golf Random Doubles has come. Many of you have been anticipating this official start so lets get it going right.

This season we will be taking a slightly different approach to our weekly best shots. Since attendance has grown from 4 people back in 2007 to sometimes 12 or more in 2008 we are going to attempt to have more structure to our rounds. Knowing the reason most of us play is because we enjoy the sport, I am going to try not to apply too many rules, but feel the time has come to keep the group friendly and inviting to all walks of life (especially if we have children showing up).

EventsOfficial Start for 2009 Best Shot will be held on Monday April 6th at Murdock Park.

Monday: Murdock Park
Meet at the main shelter directly across from the elementary school.
Arrive no later than 5:20pm
Tee-off: 5:30pm
Random draw, best shot

Thursday: Ross Hills Park
Meet near the posting board at hole 1.
Arrive no later than 5:20pm
Tee-off: 5:30pm
Random draw, best shot

As the season progresses, times will change because of available daylight.
We will try to have at least a weeks notice before any time changes occur.

I've finally gotten the new super-slick hi-res course maps that Shawn made loaded for your printing pleasure! One of these days I'm going to get one of Shawn's cool graphical updates on here in under six months. I promise! The links on the "Courses" page have been updated to get the new maps, or you can click on the thumbnails here.

The Time has Come!!!

GeneralThat's right, the time has come again to start off our bi-weekly best shot rounds.

We will officially be starting play in the month of April, but until then there will be casual best shot on Tuesdays and Thursdays. So starting in April, Tuesday best shot will be held at Ross Hills Park and Thursday best shot will be held at Murdock Park.

Until the offical start in April, odds are we will be playing mostly at Ross Hills (due to the moist condition of Murdock). Current tee-off times are roughly 5:15. There will be a post for official best shot meeting places and times soon to come!

EventsAs most of you know, we've recently started playing best shot on Thursday as well as Tuesday.

Interest sparked from the poll as to which night we should play Ross Hills. Then finally, one Tuesday afternoon after an amazing round of best shot, it was declared. Thursday would be the day to go out and enjoy the new lay-out of Ross Hills.

To top it off, there could be a weekend league in the works. With a little help from Jay Chris to recruit, our Saturday or Sunday "early" afternoons could turn into a hit.

More to come on weekends, so until then I hope to see everyone out for our current TDGC League Nights!
